A Moment in Time (poem)

Off of rainbows of a broken past.
Shades of light all turn black.
Clouds roll by, but nothing is cast.
Pictures of memories soon will pass.

Lightning strikes and thunder cracks.
Raindrops fall off a wood shack.
Hidden away from the pain within.
A child kneels down afraid of sin.

What keeps him together the world doesn’t know.
A strong will? A heart? Maybe so.
But months pass by into years.
And the little boy grows in fears.

Still hidden away from the storm outside.
And the rain still falls from his eyes.
Afraid of what is behind the next door.
Clouds drift by and there is no cure.

Scared of the rain that already has past.
He must move on but there’s another crash.
His body grows old but his minds a child.
Locked away forever, never to be a true smile.

He is still looking for that glimpse of light.
That moment in time when hopes in sight.
Trying to find the way to bring back the love.

What comes up must come down

Picture
On a dark and gloomy night with no one to comfort the pain,

I sit and wonder why this world shows so much vain.

In the back ally ways of forever and in the streets past break of day,

These thoughts forever haunt me, with a frown I wither away.

What comes up must come down. Some old scholars might have to say.

But an eye for an eye is not coming form me. I choose not to play that way.
